Moon Dance is a stunning private residence set in almost two acres of beautifully landscaped gardens at the heart of Barbados’ renowned Sandy Lane Estate. The villa faces west and overlooks the 8th hole of the famous golf course. Only a short walk down the 9th fairway, past the Old Nine Clubhouse & Hotel Tennis courts, and across the road is the main entrance to The Sandy Lane Hotel and the Sandy Lane Property Owners’ beach facility on the island’s finest west coast beach.
Constructed in 2006 to the owner’s specification, the villa offers total privacy in its very quiet location at the end of a cul-de-sac behind electric gates. Its contemporary interior design blends natural and vibrant colours harmoniously…along with spacious indoor and outdoor living areas make it the ideal holiday home for a large family or group of friends.
The main villa comprises of four double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and they all are air conditioned with ceiling fans. The master suite has a king “Tempur” four poster, a private balcony and bathroom with separate shower. All bathrooms feature baths and separate showers.
A spacious open plan living and dining room, with seating for 8 people, opens on to a sizable covered patio, overlooking the swimming pool and gardens, with further lounge seating and a 10/12 seat dining area for enjoying al fresco meals. A further poolside dining table seats 6. A fully equipped, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a separate TV room with satellite television and DVD player completes the main house.
At the bottom of the garden is a separate self contained 2 bedroom (air conditioned) cottage with its own kitchen area,and patio. These are both ideal for extra guests looking for a little more privacy.
Guests at Moon Dance can enjoy relaxing around the beautiful Japanese mosaic pool and plunge pool, and the pool has the added benefit of being low chemical. Two gazebos around the pool area, one with a bar and one with bathroom and shower facilities, ensure you have all you need to spend an uninterrupted day by the pool.
The beautiful Sandy Lane beach is just a few minutes drive away (its less than 0.5 mile) and guests of Moon Dance have Membership to the Sandy Lane Property Owners Beach Facility with parking, restrooms and sun loungers & shades will be provided free of charge by friendly staff. There is a drinks and snacks facility during peak seasons. The whole residence is child friendly and under 6’s are welcome but should be accompanied by a nanny or specified carer.

1. CAPACITY OF VILLAS: The total number of persons allowed in the villa at any one time is restricted to the number of persons scheduled and paid for, based on two persons per bedroom. Should a group misrepresent themselves, they will be required to pay for all excess persons immediately, or shall vacate the villa immediately, without refund.
2. COMPLAINTS AND MAINTENANCE: Personal Villas and affiliated on-island property managers shall make every effort to keep all villas and their inventories in good working order. In case of a maintenance problem, they will strive to repair the problem as soon as possible after being notified. Villa management reserves the right to be allowed a reasonable amount of time to cure a problem. However, no refund or rate adjustment shall be made for unforeseen mechanical failures such as the supply of electricity, telephone service, internet service, water, pool filtration systems, hot tubs, air conditioning, television or cable service, appliances, etc. It is the Guest’s obligation to report any problems or damage to their villa IMMEDIATELY to us, regardless of the hour.
3. NO PETS: Pets of any kind are NOT allowed in or on the villa’s premises without specific written permission from Personal Villas (granted prior to arrival). A pet or evidence of a pet found on the premises will cause immediate eviction, and forfeiture of the Guest’s entire rent and deposit.
4. QUIET ENJOYMENT AND PARTIES: We rent to family groups and responsible adults only; absolutely NO house parties, commercial uses or functions such as weddings are allowed without advance WRITTEN permission from Personal Villas. Guests shall be sufficiently quiet and peaceful, so as not to disturb other residents of the neighborhood, particularly after 10 pm at night. If the Guest is found to have had a wedding or any sort of group gathering for more persons than officially scheduled and paid for at the villa, and/ or without Personal Villas advance written permission, he is subject to forfeiture of his entire villa security deposit to the villa’s owner, at the joint discretion of Personal Villas and the villa’s owner.
5. SMOKING, ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, DRUGS AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: Smoking is NOT permitted inside the villa. (In most cases smoking is allowed in outdoor spaces—please check with your rental agent). Guest and members of his party shall not use or permit to be brought into any villa any illegal substances, inflammable fluids (e.g., gasoline, kerosene, naphtha or benzene), or other explosives or articles deemed hazardous to life, limb or property. Any illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
